Munster have revealed that Ronan O'Gara is unlikely to be fit for their Heineken Cup clash with Edinburgh at Thomond Park on Sunday.

O'Gara limped off during their loss to Racing Metro on Saturday after just 33 minutes with a hamstring injury and Munster have described the news from the scan he underwent today as "not so good".

The veteran fly-half was in impressive form prior to the injury - kicking a conversion and a penalty against Metro - and Munster could opt to start Ian Keatley, the man who stepped into O'Gara's shoes in Paris, at fly-half for Sunday's match.

Munster will be under pressure to get a result in front of their passionate fans after suffering defeat in round one. And while O'Gara is likely to miss the match, Paul O'Connell came through Saturday's match with Metro unscathed in what was his first hour of rugby since May. The Irish province will give Niall Ronan and Donnacha O'Callaghan late fitness tests ahead of Edinburgh's visit while Felix Jones could also feature at Thomond Park.

In related news, Leinster look set to have Rob Kearney back in action for their match with the Scarlets on Saturday. They also hope to call on Gordon D'Arcy for the trip to Wales while David Kearney and Rhys Ruddock are likely to feature in the British & Irish Cup this weekend rather than against the Scarlets.
