Leinster flanker Shane Jennings and hooker John Fogarty have been banned for three weeks and one week respectively by an Irish Rugby Football Union Disciplinary Panel.

The duo were both cited for punching under law 10.4 (a) following Leinster's 26-18 victory over Connacht in their Magners League clash at the RDS last Friday.

The citing against Jennings was upheld and the player received a three week suspension that will see him sidelined until Wednesday, Janaury 28. The citing against Fogarty was also upheld and he will be available for selection from Wednesday, January 14.

Leinster coach Michael Cheika named the pair in his squad to face Cardiff Blues earlier today but will now have to re-shuffle his options ahead of the Saturday night clash. However, there was some good news with the return of captain Leo Cullen and fullback Girvan Dempsey from injury. Cullen hasn't featured since injuring his shoulder during the Heineken Cup clash with Wasps last October.

Jamie Heaslip, Devin Toner and CJ van der Linde, who missed last weekend's win, also come back into the squad for the game at the RDS. In the absence of Jackman and Fogarty, Brian Blaney is likely to start at hooker against the Blues.

Munster prop Freddie Pucciariello was also cited for kicking during the Munster's 37-11 defeat to Ulster game under laws 10.4 (c) and 10.4 (k). The citing was upheld, but the disciplinary panel did not feel that the exact incident would have warranted a red card during the game, so no suspension was given to the player and he is free to play.
