- England tour of India 2012
England's India tour features three warm-up games
England will play three practice matches before the first Test when they arrive in India in October for the winter tour. The itinerary, announced on Tuesday, includes four Test Matches and two T20Is before Christmas and five ODIs in the New Year.
The Tests will be played in Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Kolkata and Nagpur, while two new venues - Dharamsala and Ranchi - have been awarded ODIs. The other venues are Mohali, Rajkot and Kochi.
The fixtures in Mohali and Dharamsala are both day-night games and could pose problems for the teams with freezing temperatures - Dharamsala is at a height of 5000 feet - and dew. The two T20Is will be played in Pune and Mumbai.
"This will be England's first full tour of India since 2008 and I am sure that cricket fans in both countries will be eagerly anticipating an exciting series of contests in all three formats of the game," ECB managing director Hugh Morris said.
