Shane Warne finally retires from all cricket
Shane Warne has played his last game of cricket after announcing he will not play at this year's Big Bash tournament with the Melbourne Stars.
Although Warne quit Test cricket six years ago he has continued to play Twenty20 and remained a big box office draw.
"I think the time is right for me to hang up my Big Bash boots," he said. "Juggling business, family and commentary commitments across two continents is not easy. I've always loved the game but now it's time to observe."
Warne retired from all forms of cricket at the end of the 2011 IPL but returned later in the year to take part in Australia's Big Bash.
