Flower yet to commit future as England coach

Andy Flower has refused to confirm whether he will continue as England coach after they lost the Ashes series to Australia following defeat in the third Test in Perth on Tuesday.

Australia regained the Ashes after putting on another dominant display Down Under, and have wrapped up the series by storming into an unassailable 3-0 lead with two Tests remaining.

England captain Alastair Cook revealed he wants Flower to continue as coach, and while the side have been criticised for their poor displays so far, Flower's position remains under scrutiny, and he is refusing to comment on whether he will remain in his role after the series.

"I have got that judgement to make and the ECB will have that judgement to make as well and that's the way it is. But what we will be doing is focusing on Melbourne and Sydney," he said.

"There are still two very important Test matches to be played and we look forward to the challenge of those and they will be very exciting to be part of.

"Obviously my role means that I have to plan ahead for the team side but personally I don't like looking too far ahead and quite frankly there are two Test matches left to play in this series and I want all my focus to be on those Test matches. I think that's the right thing to do for the England cricket team."
