England beaten by India in final WT20 warm-up match
England suffered a second successive loss in preparation for the World T20 as they crashed to a 20-run defeat to India in their final warm-up match in Mirpur.
Following defeat to the West Indies on Tuesday, Eoin Morgan's side were set a target of 179 after India capitalised on expensive bowling from Tim Bresnan and Ravi Bopara. There was a positive sign for England as Stuart Broad came through two overs following his knee troubles.
Virat Kohli top scored with an unbeaten 74 and Suresh Raina made a half-century (54) as India lost only four wickets in their 20 overs.
Following a positive start to their innings, England petered out as they reached 158 in their innings. Captain Morgan made 30, while opener Michael Lumb made 36 from 25 balls. Moeen Ali made England's highest score, with 46 from 38 balls - including one six.
However, England ultimately fell short after they were hampered by the loss of quick, key wickets. England open their World T20 campaign against New Zealand on Saturday and face tough Super 10 group games against Sri Lanka, South Africa plus a qualifier from the ongoing first round stage. England won the tournament in 2010.
