Sharks' Swart to join Otago in NPC

Natal Sharks utility back Justin Swart has been loaned to the Otago Rugby Football Union and will gain valuable experience in the National Provincial Championships.

Former All Black great and commentator Murray Mexted helped broker the deal. Swart hopes he will get sufficient exposure in order to guarantee his selection for the Sharks in next year's Super 12.

"I think this loan system will prove positive for Natal squad members wishing to develop their careers by giving them an opportunity to play elsewhere if they aren't in the Natal Sharks starting line-up," Sharks chief executive Brian van Zyl said.
