Frank Schleck claims poison is the only possible explanation if his B sample comes back positive.

The Radioshack-Nissan rider withdrew from the Tour de France after the International Cycling Union announced he had tested positive for diuretic Xipamide on July 14.

His team have insisted the substance is not performance enhancing and Schleck claims he is in the dark as to how it got into his sample.

Schleck has the right to ask for his B sample to be tested and it is something he will exercise.

In a statement to Luxembourg media outlet RTL, Schleck said: "I categorically deny taking any banned substance.

"I have no explanation for the test result and therefore insist that the B sample be tested which is my right.

"If this analysis confirms the initial result, I will argue that I have been the victim of poisoning."
