Russian bikes stolen at World Championships
Russian team leader Alexandr Kolobnev has revealed all of his side's bikes have been stolen at the World Championships in Florence.
The event is set to end with the men's elite road race from Lucca to Florence over 272.3-kilometres, but the team has been hit with a similar incident which occurred to Garmin-Sharp at the Tour Mediterraneen, which forced them to pull out of the competition.
Kolobnev tweeted:
Police at work... Stolen ALL the bikes last night. No start tomorrow. #mafiaeverywhere #провокация… http://t.co/73gsUl9t5U

And even managed to find something light-hearted to say on the incident:
At least I have got a present here. Miniature with my nickname. Will ride with this tomorrow… http://t.co/IJ0CKmloQ8
