Wiggins edging closer to California win
Sir Bradley Wiggins is closing in on his first title of the season as he extended his Tour of California lead to 30 seconds at the end of stage six.
The 2012 Tour de France winner crossed the line in fifth, 53 seconds behind stage winner Esteban Chavez of the Orica GreenEdge team.
Following Friday's 151.8 kilometre route between Santa Clarita and Pasadena, Team Sky rider Wiggins claimed another two seconds in the overall classification with Rohan Dennis his closest challenger.
Wiggins needs to see out the remaining two stages and he will earn his first stage race victory since the Tour of Britain last September.
