Vos makes history on the Champs-Elysees
World champion Marianne Vos claimed the inaugural one-day La Course race after sprinting to victory on the Champs-Elysees in Paris.
Ahead of the final stage of the men's Tour de France, Vos edged Kirsten Wild after the 91km run, with Canada's Leah Kirchmann finishing in third place.
Britain's Lizzie Armitstead's hopes were ended when she was involved in a crash with Pauline Ferrard Prevot in the final kilometre.

"It was already fantastic just to race here," said Vos. "That was a dream come true with the huge crowds.
"But it was also an incredible race with lots of attacks, and that makes it even better to win. The feeling is just amazing."
