Chris Froome has fallen more than a minute behind at the Tour of Spain following the time trial on stage 10.

World time trial champion Tony Martin won the stage, while Alberto Contador claimed the overall lead as he took advantage of a heavy crash by previous leader Nairo Quintana, who falls to 11th in the standings.

Alejandro Valverde is second going into Wednesday's 153.4 kilometre final stage.

Froome is now one minute and 18 seconds behind Contador after losing time on the technical 36.7km route from Real Monasterio de Santa Maria de Veruela to Borja.
