Trott claims second Euro gold

Britain's Laura Trott defended her omnium title in a nail-biting finish at the European Track Championships.
Trott, who was third at the halfway stage, finished the six-race event with 199 points, just one clear of Belgium's Jolien D'Hoore, on the final day of competition in Guadeloupe.
Katie Archibald, who won gold in the team pursuit with Trott earlier in the week, also claimed her second victory of the meeting, winning the individual pursuit.
Trott's victory came in dramatic fashion. The double Olympic champion won events four and five, the 500m time trial and the flying lap, to move level on points with D'Hoore.
That ensured the title would be decided in the final event - the points race - which saw both riders pick up points in the early sprints.
However, Trott was able to claim victory by the slimmest of margins when she won the crucial final sprint on the line, matching the doubles she won at last year's Euros, the 2012 World Championships and the London Olympics.
"Really need to get out the habit of leaving everything to the last sprint!" Trott wrote on Twitter. "But hey ho double European champion! Super happy."
Archibald, 20, claimed the individual pursuit title from Germany's Mieke Kroger by two seconds, while world champion and fellow Briton Joanna Rowsell was fifth.
