Fifteen-time world champion Phil Taylor produced a scintillating display to cruise into the final of the Grand Slam of Darts with a 16-9 win over Adrian Lewis, keeping the world No. 1 on course to regain the title he last won in 2009.

Taylor, a three-time Grand Slam winner, was always in command and, although Lewis - the current PDC world champion - kept pace with his scoring, Taylor's accuracy on the doubles proved the difference.

Lewis quickly found himself 7-3 down as Taylor made him pay for missing chances to finish legs off. The deficit was cut to two as Lewis checked Taylor's progress but he never looked liked stringing together a number of legs to truly threaten a comeback as his opponent simply refused to lower his extraordinary level.

Gary Anderson lies in wait after the Scot won 10 of the last 11 legs to claim an astonishing 16-11 victory over Mark Walsh in the other semi-final.

The reigning Premier League champion was 10-6 down before he found his form to launch a truly memorable comeback, with the two-time semi-finalist reeling off 13 180s en route to his first appearance in the event's final.
