Phil Taylor crushed Adrian Lewis 10-1 to win the inaugural Coral Masters at the Royal Highland Centre in Edinburgh.

The 16-time World Champion turned in a stunning performance to pick up the £50,000 winner's cheque.

Having seen off Terry Jenkins and Wes Newton earlier in the weekend, Taylor routed James Wade 10-1 in their semi-final.

And up against Lewis, Taylor reeled off nine legs without reply in a run that included a 10-dart finish. Lewis was punished for missed doubles in four legs.

World No.3 Lewis, who sealed a thrilling 10-9 win over Raymond van Barneveld in the last four, finally opened his account in the tenth leg with Taylor missing the bull to fluff his chances of a whitewash win.

Whatever remote chance of a comeback remained was immediately dashed however, as Taylor hit a fourth 180 in a 12-darter, with double 12 sealing his victory.
