Adrian Lewis produced a classic performance to book his place in the semi-final of the UK Open, hammering surprise package Mensur Suljovic 10-3 in Minehead.

Lewis raced into a five-leg lead with no reply from the Austrian, going into the first interval less than ten minutes after reaching the oche.

Suljovic landed double 14 to get his first leg on the board but ultimately it had no effect on Lewis, who continued to produce a masterclass of darts with a superb 121 checkout to move seven legs clear.

Double top moved Lewis 9-2 ahead and he missed the same for what would have been a show-stopping 160 finish for the match. However, Jackpot returned next leg to complete victory on double nine and earn his first-ever UK Open semi-final spot.

Earlier on Sunday, Terry Jenkins reached the last four of a major tournament for the first time with a 10-4 victory against Brendan Dolan.

Jenkins finished an impressive 126 to move 8-3 ahead before almost completing a 127 on the bullseye for 8-4. However, Dolan kept his hopes alive with double eight only for Jenkins to seal his win with 11-dart and 14-dart legs.

Mervyn King moved into the final four with a 10-6 victory over Kevin Painter in the opening quarter-final.
