Wolfie begins Lakeside campaign with big win

Martin Adams kicked off his bid for a fourth BDO world championship title with a 3-1 victory against Jan Dekker at Lakeside on Saturday.
Adams, crowned champion in 2007, 2010 and 2011 in Frimley Green, survived a third set scare when Dekker missed six darts to move 2-1 ahead.
However, 'Wolfie' held firm to book his place in the last 16 alongside Madars Razma, who shocked fifth seed and World Masters champion Martin Phillips 3-0.
"I knew I'd got a tough game to start with," Adams told BBC Sport. "You don't get any easy games here. You've got to prepare well, I felt I'd done all the hard work and I got the result."
In the women's draw, number one seed Deta Hedman was beaten 2-1 by defending champion Lisa Ashton in what was a repeat of the 2014 final.
