SA Barbarians announce their XVs to face England

England's opponents for their midweek matches on the tour to South Africa have been named, with the SA Barbarians opting for two teams made up of Currie Cup players not involved in Super Rugby. The sides feature three players with experience of Springboks Sevens internationals - Cornal Hendricks and Mpho Mbiyozo who will play for the South SA Barbarians, whilst Danwel Demas is in the North SA Barbarians. Eastern Province Kings centre Wayne Stevens will captain the South SA Barbarians in Kimberley on June 13 and the Pumas' JW Jonka will lead the North SA Barbarians in Potchefstroom on June 19. The squads have gathered in Durban under coach Jimmy Stonehouse, where they are taking part in a three-day training camp. In other news, the Springboks have suffered a blow ahead of their three-Test series with England with the news that lock Andries Bekker has been ruled out for five weeks.
