Italy 'A' v England Saxons, February 7
Cipriani returns for Saxons
February 4, 2010

England Saxons head coach Stuart Lancaster has recalled Wasps' Danny Cipriani to his side for their clash with Italy 'A' in Treviso on Sunday.

Cipriani gets the nod at fullback in one of nine changes to the starting line up that recorded a narrow 17-13 victory over Ireland 'A' last weekend having missed that game due to a family bereavement.

Northampton Saints' Shane Geraghty retains the No.10 shirt while Bath prop David Flatman starts for the first time since last June's Churchill Cup. Leeds flanker Hendre Fourie makes his debut alongside Harlequins' Chris Robshaw and Northampton's Phil Dowson - who claimed the man of the match honour against the Irish.

Northampton's Jon Clarke and Worcester's Miles Benjamin feature in the backline whilst Newcastle's Micky Young is promoted from the bench to start at scrum half.

"The guys put in a great performance last weekend and we hope to back that up with another impressive display against Italy A on Sunday," said Lancaster. "We've made quite a few changes to the squad that beat Ireland A last weekend which gives opportunities to the new guys coming in.

"Ben Youngs (Leicester Tigers) and Luke Narraway (Gloucester Rugby) and have returned to their clubs whilst Hendre and Rob Vickers (Newcastle Falcons) have come in as injury cover for Andy Saull (Saracens) and David Paice (London Irish). Noah Cato (Saracens) and Nick Wood (Gloucester Rugby) will travel with us as the 23 and 24 man."
