England Under-20 hooker Koree Britton has signed a new one-year contract with Gloucester.

The 19-yaer-old, who has yet to break into the first team, began his rugby career with Exeter Chiefs before joining Gloucester last summer and rising through their academy system. He has been one of a trio of Gloucester players in England's U20 Grand Slam squad this spring alongside Ryan Mills and Dan Robson.

"I think the season has gone quite well overall although I've had a couple of knocks which have slowed me up a little at times," he said. "I've learned such a lot from people like Olivier Azam but I know that there are still areas of my game that I need to work on and I'm determined to work hard to pursue my dream of playing top flight rugby.

"I think that Gloucester is a fantastic place for me to develop and play my rugby. Bryan Redpath has shown in the past that, if you're good enough, then you're old enough."
