Harlequins have announced fullback Mike Brown has re-signed for them until the end of the 2013/14 season.

Brown has made over 150 appearances for Harlequins since making his debut in 2005/06, scoring 50 tries and an impressive 2010/11 season for the Quins saw him voted supporters' player of the season but also players' player of the season at Harlequins. He was also selected in the Aviva Premiership's Dream XV.

Brown, who has won three full England caps was also part of the Saxons side who this summer retained the Churchill Cup and domestically he was part of the Quins Amlin Cup winning side.

Harlequins Director of Rugby Conor O'Shea commented: "Mike embodies everything a professional rugby player should be and everything we want of a player here at Harlequins. Mike is a competitor, who has a desire to succeed that is second to none.

Brown himself is thrilled to have committed to Quins until 2014: "I am excited to have re-signed to a club that I am so enjoying being a part of. I love playing rugby here with a squad that I have so much belief in. We have a talented, young side that are going in the right direction and want to win more trophies.

"Having Conor O'Shea has been great for the club and I believe he can improve my game even more, and hopefully I can look to achieve more international honours in the future."
