London Irish have been given a huge boost ahead of their clash with Racing Metro on Saturday with the news that speedster Topsy Ojo has signed a new contract.

Ojo's new deal keeps him at the Exiles until the end of the 2013-14 season. The two-cap England international took his bow for Irish back in 2005 against Wasps and has since crossed the line 56 times in 145 appearances. The 26-year-old was part of the England Saxons side which took the 2011 Churchill Cup and is hoping his club form will propel him back into international reckoning.

"I have enjoyed every moment of being a London Irish player," Ojo said. "The potential we have at the club is massive and I am excited that I can be a part of it over the next few seasons. I still have ambitions to be involved in the England set up and believe London Irish is the best place to make this happen."

London Irish head coach Toby Booth is thrilled to have Ojo available for another two seasons: "Topsy has been a highly consistent player for this club over a number of seasons now and his commitment to the shirt and to his team mates is second to none.

"He is a tremendous attacker with ball in hand and an outstanding defender. His try scoring record for the club speaks for itself and we are certainly very pleased that he has decided his immediate future is with London Irish."
