Leicester Tigers duo Toby Flood and Manu Tuilagi have been pencilled in for their Aviva Premiership game against Exeter Chiefs on February 11 as they attempt to prove their fitness to the England coaching team.

Flood and Tuilagi are struggling with a knee and a hamstring injury respectively but the England coaching set-up have eyed the Tigers' domestic matches as the perfect opportunity to see them back in action prior to their third match of the Six Nations against Wales on February 25.

The news will come as a boost to Tigers boss Richard Cockerill who is set to lose a host of his stellar names for the Six Nations with the likes of Martin Castrogiovanni,Tom Croft, Dan Cole and Ben Youngs all set to feature for their respective countries.

"The indications that are coming from England suggest that Toby Flood and Manu Tuilagi will have a couple of games with us before they go back to England," Cockerill told the Leicester Mercury. "But we will have to see what happens. If England go up to Scotland in their opening fixture without them and lose, then who knows.

"They should both be available to play on the weekend of February 11, and that is when we return to Aviva Premiership action at Exeter after the Anglo-Welsh Cup."
