London Irish have announced that back-row Declan Danaher has signed a new deal to keep him at the Exiles until 2014.

Danaher is London Irish's longest serving player after joining the club back in 1999. With 240 appearances to his name and 21 tries, Danaher has become an integral part of the Madejski Stadium side's set-up.

The back-row was delighted to confirm he was staying at the club saying: "I have only played for London Irish throughout my career and have no desire to play for any other club other than this one. I am passionate about the Exiles and feel that we have a lot of unfinished business in terms of bringing silverware back home and that's something I want to be part of."

And head coach Toby Booth praised the back-row's professionalism. "His passion for London Irish is evident every time he takes the field," Booth said. "A seasoned professional, Dec is a dogged, determined performer who always leads by example. He has been in great form during this campaign and will be a big part of this team moving forward over the coming seasons."
