Ireland flanker David Wallace is set to make his first appearance of the season after being named on the bench for Munster ahead of their clash with Aironi at the weekend.

The 72-cap back-row has been out of action since August and his return will serve as a boost to the RaboDirect PRO12 side who are without a host of internationals for the match. Tomas O'Leary was called into the Ireland squad in place of the injured Conor Murray while the likes of Peter O'Mahony and Donncha O'Callaghan are also on international duty.

But one man who does return to the frame is flyer Simon Zebo who missed their previous match with Newport due to international commitments. And another player returning from injury for Munster is Mike Sherry who makes his first start since September.
