Bristol have bolstered their ranks for next season with the signing of three players currently turning out in the Aviva Premiership.

The promotion hopefuls are about to vie with Cornish Pirates for a spot in the Championship final but have already set out their stall for a return to the Premiership with the signing of two experienced backs. London Irish fly-half Adrian Jarvis has returned to Bristol while they have also recruited Bryan Rennie from the Exeter Chiefs.

Bristol have also moved to bolster their front-row with the recruitment of former Scotland international Bruce Douglas. He arrives at the Memorial Stadium from nearby Worcester Warriors where he turned out nine times for them in the Premiership.

The trio have cited Bristol's ambition as the reason behind their decision to make the switch to Liam Middleton's side, even if they are in the Championship next term. The trio join Doncaster Knights fullback David McIlwaine and Leicester Tigers' James Grindal in signing for Bristol.
