Newcastle Falcons have continued their recruitment drive with the announcement of three new signings.

The Falcons - who are facing an uncertain future regarding which division they will be playing in next term - confirmed the signing of Tane Tu'ipulotu yesterday and have bolstered their options in the backs with former Bath duo Alex Crockett and Andy Higgins. Higgins was previously turning out for Exeter and then Sale while Crockett was at Worcester. And Crockett has also been joined at the Falcons by fellow Warrior front-row Oliver Tomaszczyk .

Crockett resigned from Bath at the end of the 2008-09 along with Higgins amid reports of ill-discipline. But the centre has shown signs of being back to his rampaging best at Worcester and is looking forward to being part of owner Semore Kurdi's vision.

"I was very impressed with the passion and the importance of keeping top-class rugby in the region - I want to be part of the new era," said Crockett. "With Dean Richards at the helm and with new players being brought in to add to the quality that is already in the squad, I am confident we will be a tough team to beat next season."
