Soon-to-be unattached centre Mike Tindall is keen on re-signing with Gloucester despite his contract expiring imminently.

Tindall has been linked with moves abroad, but any potential avenues seem to have dried up. The centre will turn out for the Barbarians tomorrow night against Ireland and although it has been billed as his Kingsholm swansong, Tindall has not ruled out playing for Gloucester next term.

Any new deal for Tindall is, however, reliant on the new coach at Gloucester. Scarlets boss Nigel Davies seems to be the favourite to take over from Bryan Redpath so he will have the final say on whether he keeps the 33-year-old centre or not.

"I would like to have another chance at Gloucester but that's down to the new coach that comes in," Tindall told the BBC. "I definitely still want to play but it's about making the right decision.

"I'm still trying to sort it out. There's things there but I need to make the right decision. Because I've done eight and seven years at Bath and Gloucester respectively it makes it hard to go to one club for one year.

"That's why I was looking further afield. But it's not just about me - it's about the family as well."
