Manu Tuilagi says he is relieved to have been cleared of committing a 'tip tackle' on Danny Care, allowing him to join his England team-mates on their flight to South Africa.

Tuilagi attended the two-hour hearing in Bristol, where a three-man panel declared they were not satisfied the centre should have been penalised after the incident in the Premiership final. Following the decision, Tuilagi expressed his delight.

"I am really happy and can't wait to get to South Africa with the squad," he told Telegraph Sport. "I thought it was a good tackle and I'd like to thank the panel for listening to what I had to say and coming to their decision. It is going to be a massive tour and I am just relieved to be able to take part."

England will fly to Durban on Wednesday in preparation for the three-Test series against the Springboks. Tuilagi will be available for selection for the first match of the tour next Saturday.
