Robin Hood, Las Vegas and Waratahs bashing

Welcome to the latest edition of The Sin Bin - our regular feature offering you some of the quirkier stories to emanate from the game we love.

There's not a ruck we will not delve into or a hospital pass we will avoid in a bid to bring you some of the more bizarre, humorous and downright daft stories, videos, pictures and soundbites from around the rugby globe.

Everything I Do...

It's one of the finest films of all time, and now - finally - it has a place in rugby. Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves - Kevin Costner's mullet-showcasing, geography-mangling early-90s take on the myth - inspired Northampton and England fullback Ben Foden to such a degree that its soundtrack, Bryan Adams' Everything I Do, was his first dance with wife Una Healy.

"When I was a kid and the film came out on video I used to sit and watch it on repeat three times a day for months on end," he told OK!. "I remember when I was seven I sat on my mum and dad's windowsill and sung it for everybody at a barbeque."

Vegas, baby!

Wales centre Jamie Roberts is continuing his rehab from knee surgery and recently took in some sights in Las Vegas before heading to South Africa for pre-season work with Cardiff Blues. Have a look at the picture above if you fancy a reminder of how boring your life is.

Fatty treats

Former Bath prop David Flatman weighed in on the Olympic debate this week and raised one of the more salient points about the upcoming London extravaganza. Where are fans supposed to get their Hog Roasts from? For his money, it's got to be Harlequins lock Ollie Kohn and his Jolly Hog boys.

Hey, good lookin'

He played a starring role in a shaky Worcester side at Thursday night's JP Morgan 7s Series event at Kingsholm and, according to his team-mates, Errie Claassens is also much, much better looking than you. The ESPN cameras were on hand to show all the action and the commentary team were also more than happy to discuss Claasens' nickname at the Warriors - The Armani Model. Jealousy isn't becoming, gentlemen.

Waratahs use the farce

The good folk over at The Sydney Morning Herald aren't enamoured with the Waratahs after another miserable campaign. Stodgy footy, poor crowds and promises of better have all come and gone, with New South Wales ending up a dismal 23 points behind the Reds and Brumbies in the Australian conference.

They were so bad, in fact, that they've become the latest group immortalised in a spoof video of Hitler's meltdown in the film Downfall. Blame the injuries.

Leg day

South Africa No.8 Pierre Spies took a moment out on Friday to offer further encouragement to his team-mates via Twitter. We're so afraid of the concept of 'leg day' with Pierre Spies that we've gone into hiding. While there, we will mainly be hyperventilating in a darkened room, waiting for Jolly Hog to arrive and save us.
