Marcus Watson scored three tries as England booked their place in the semi-finals of the Dubai leg of HSBC Sevens World Series by beating Wales 33-12.

In a tense match England led just 7-5 at half-time following Watson's converted try, but pulled away after the break as the 19-year-old crossed twice more along with team-mates Phil Burgess and Mat Turner. The win sets up a semi-final clash with South Africa, who beat Kenya later today (Saturday).

In the other quarter finals, Scotland lost 26-14 to Fiji, who will play New Zealand after the Kiwis saw off Argentina to progress to the final four.
