Toulouse are leading the line to sign Toby Flood ahead of next season.

Reports on RMC Sport say Flood has told his Leicester team-mates via email he will leave the club at the end of the campaign and has signed for Toulouse. He had been heavily linked with a move to Toulon, but with Jonny Wilkinson yet to decide whether he will postpone his retirement, it seems Flood has opted for their rivals Toulouse.

Flood, who has 60 Test caps, found himself consigned to a role among the replacements during England's autumn international programme and Stuart Lancaster is unlikely to pick the fly-half if he does complete his move to the Top 14.

Flood's likely exit will leave Leicester with a massive gap to fill at fly-half and they have been linked with Scarlets No.10 Rhys Priestland and Gloucester's Freddie Burns.
