The Brumbies' efforts to stop the Blues' monster pack will be made all the more difficult with confirmation Test hooker Stephen Moore will miss Friday night's Super Rugby clash at Canberra Stadium.

Back-up hooker Siliva Siliva will replace Moore, who is suffering a niggling knee injury, in the only change made to the Brumbies' run-on side that lost to the Rebels 32-24 in Melbourne last Friday.

It's a big blow to the Brumbies, as Moore has played a pivotal role in the ACT franchise having the highest consistency for set piece wins this year. The Blues' monster pack includes dynamic All Blacks Jerome Kaino, Steven Luatua, Tony Woodcock and Charlie Faumuina, and the absence of Moore's workhorse-like defence will also be felt by the home-side.

Josh Mann-Rea has been added to the Brumbies bench as reserve hooker.

Brumbies: Jesse Mogg; Joe Tomane, Tevita Kuridrani, Pat McCabe, Robbie Coleman; Matt Toomua, Nic White; Ben Mowen (captain), Jarrad Butler, Jordan Smiler; Sam Carter, Scott Fardy, Ben Alexander; Siliva Siliva, JP Smith. Replacements: Josh Mann-Rea, Ruan Smith, Ruaidhri Murphy, Jack Whetton, Lachlan McCaffrey, Conrad Hoffman, Andrew Smith, Christian Lealiifano.
