Bristol finish league campaign with eight-try romp

Bristol will go into the Championship play-offs on the back of an eight-try win over London Scottish on Saturday in the final round of the competition.

Bristol saw off London Scottish 55-31 in Richmond with Luke Baldwin, Ross Rennie, Adam Hughes (two), Andy Short (two) and George Watkins all scoring alongside a penalty try. They will take on Rotherham in the play-offs and they finished their season with a 36-29 win at Ealing, a triumph that saw the hosts relegated to National One.

London Welsh finished the season in second place and they ended their league campaign with a 64-12 win over Nottingham. They ran in 10 tries in total with Nick Scott grabbing a hat-trick alongside a double from Seb Stegmann and efforts from James Tincknell, Nathan Vella, John Quill, Carl Kirwan and Nathan Trevett. They will play Leeds, who beat the Cornish Pirates 36-3 on Saturday, in the play-offs.
