England could be without Billy Twelvetrees for their June tour of New Zealand after he was forced off injured at the weekend.
Twelvetrees went off after just nine minutes in Gloucester's match against London Irish with an ankle injury. "We all know how committed Billy is as a player; for him to come off in this game says quite a lot about the injury," said Gloucester boss Nigel Davies.
Twelvetrees started all five of England's games in the recent Six Nations and looked set to start the first Test against New Zealand on June 7.
In a fairly bruising weekend for Stuart Lancaster's England contingent, two of their hookers also limped off. Bath's Rob Webber looks to have picked up the more serious of the injuries and will need an ankle scan on Tuesday after he was forced off against Northampton. Tom Youngs also came off for Leicester but Richard Cockerill has said he was "just winded".
Saracens' Mako Vunipola played just seven minutes against Worcester but Mark McCall said he had "just tightened up his hamstring".
