Julian Savea will miss Saturday's Test against England after he failed to recover from a knee injury but Jerome Kaino is back in the side at No.8

Cory Jane got the nod in place of Savea on the left wing as Hansen recalled Kaino after a two-and-a-half-year absence. Kaino comes into the side in place of Kieran Read, who has been stood down due to concussion. Hansen is hopeful that Read will be available for next week's match in Dunedin.

The All Blacks' starting XV boasts 779 caps with their least-experienced player Dane Coles, who is preferred to Keven Mealamu at hooker. At fly-half, with Dan Carter on a sabbatical, Aaron Cruden gets the nod ahead of Beauden Barrett.

There are three potential new caps on the bench with Patrick Tuipulotu, TJ Perenara and Malakai Fekitoa all named.

"I would firstly like to congratulate Jerome on his return to the Test side and also the three uncapped players who have been selected in the 23," Hansen said. "We are really looking forward to this three-Test match series as it will allow us to immediately benchmark ourselves for the new season. It is the first time in our long history that we are playing a three-match series against England and they are the perfect opponent for us at this time.

"We have a healthy respect for England and what they will bring to the contest. Our preparation, though limited by time, has been very good. We have concentrated on getting real clarity of our roles earlier in the week and will be looking to build the intensity levels as we get closer to game time."

Hansen said the inclusion of Fekitoa and Tuipolotu was "a form thing - both have been in outstanding form. They've come into the camps and looked really at home. They've come into this Test week and looked really at home. The selectors en-masse have all felt they're ready to go."
