Lancaster to delay Tuilagi decision

Stuart Lancaster will wait until later in the week to decide if he will continue playing Manu Tuilagi on the wing.

England experimented with moving Tuilagi out wide from his usual role in the centres during their narrow 28-27 defeat by New Zealand in the second Test on Saturday. But the Leicester player struggled to make an impact in the No.14 jersey, with his most notable effort thwarted just short of the line by a spectacular Ben Smith tackle.

Asked whether he would stick with Tuilagi on the wing, Lancaster said: "We'll wait and see really, we'll have to assess the game. We won't make the decision until Wednesday."

England defence coach Andy Farrell praised the All Blacks for their recovery in the second-half in Dunedin, which saw them come back from 10-6 down to win the Test and the series.

"We were pushing the pace in the first half and in the second half the All Blacks showed why they're the world champions," Farrell said. "Their speed of thought and the speed at which they played the game was outstanding. Their core skills are excellent as well. That we got ourselves back into the game when we could have conceded a barrage of points says everything about us."
