England hooker Tom Youngs is set to start on his return from injury for Leicester against Wasps on Saturday at Welford Road after a ten-week lay-off.

Youngs injured his shoulder in September's defeat to Bath and has not played since.

Leicester Director of Rugby Richard Cockerill also said lock Geoff Parling is likely to return in the European Champions Cup against Toulon next weekend after a spell on the sidelines with concussion.

"Tom will be fit. He may well start," Cockerill told BBC Radio Leicester. "He will certainly be fresh and he will certainly give you some impetus from a scrum, ball carrying and aggression point of view. That is exactly what we need."

Leicester will also welcome back Italian hooker Leonardo Ghiraldini from international duty, while young rake Harry Thacker scored his first two Premiership tries in the victory over London Welsh on Sunday. They also welcome back Argentina prop Marcos Ayerza and Fijian winger Niki Goneva.

Parling also hasn't featured since the defeat to Bath but will not be cleared to play by doctors until the first week of December following a spate of concussions.

"We are just bound by the time from the specialists. The stand down time will mean he will probably be back for Toulon at home," said Cockerill of the lock.
