Nic White has been given the chance to play his first Test of the spring tour after being included on the Wallabies' bench for the Test against England at Twickenham.

White had fallen out of favour under new coach Michael Cheika with Queensland Reds No.9 Will Genia being preferred as Nick Phipps' back-up. But the Brumbies halfback could finally get his chance against England with Cheika keen to reward his work on the training paddock.

"Nic has been excellent on the trip and deserves an opportunity," Cheika said. "The three halves have all worked well together. Genia has been very good as well and he totally understands my thinking."

Luke Jones has also been included on a bench with a 5-3 forward-back split; the Rebels back-rower preferred over Western Force skipper Matt Hodgson because of a niggle to Rob Simmons, who plays his 50th Test this weekend.

The Wallabies are looking to finish their tour on a high after back-to-back losses to France and Ireland while England are hoping to secure their first major scalp from a November that has yielded just last week's win over Samoa.
