Toulon pair Martin Castrogiovanni and Delon Armitage will face a misconduct hearing in the wake of last Sunday's fiery match at Welford Road.

Castrogiovanni launched a post-match tirade against Tigers coach Richard Cockerill with the outburst focusing on the prop's misgivings over the manner in which his departure from the club was handled. The Champions Cup tournament organisers European Professional Club Rugby launched an investigation into the incident and he will now face a disciplinary panel on Wednesday.

EPCR's statement read: "The misconduct complaint against Martin Castrogiovanni is that after the match he made a number of comments to the media in which he attacked, disparaged, criticised, damaged and/or brought into disrepute Leicester Tigers, the club's director of rugby, Richard Cockerill, EPCR, the European Rugby Champions Cup and the sport of rugby union in contravention of the Disciplinary Rules of the European Rugby Champions Cup Participation Agreement 2014/15."

And Armitage will also face a disciplinary hearing after he was allegedly involved in an altercation with Leicester Tigers supporters.

"The misconduct complaint against Delon Armitage is that during and after the match he is alleged to have conducted himself in an unsportsmanlike manner by making a number of comments to, or within earshot of, spectators using foul and abusive language and may have brought into disrepute the sport of rugby union, the European Rugby Champions Cup, other clubs and persons and/or EPCR in contravention of the Disciplinary Rules of the European Rugby Champions Cup Participation Agreement 2014/15."
