London Welsh have announced the signing of former Worcester and Wasps fly-half Joe Carlisle.

Carlisle will move to the Exiles from Italian club Treviso, where he has played European Champions Cup and Guinness PRO12 rugby this season.

And London Welsh, bottom of the Aviva Premiership after collecting just one point from 20 games this term, have also captured Plymouth Albion scrum-half Josh Davies.

"Joe is hugely experienced, an accurate goalkicker with good distribution and excellent game-management," London Welsh rugby director Steve Lewis said.

"And Josh is an exciting young player who has shown enough in his short career so far to suggest that he will be an excellent addition to our fast-developing squad."
