First-half tries from Lauren Cattell and Millar-Mills put England in control, and after Millar-Mills' second, Sarah Hunter and Lucy Demaine added further tries to secure a one-sided win that could have been achieved by a wider margin with superior kicking. The result secures a positive to start to the competition for England, who in 2015 recorded their worst ever finish when they came fourth behind Ireland, France and Italy. Scotland are still looking for a first Six Nations victory since 2010, and a first win over England since 1999. On Saturday, holders Ireland kicked off their campaign with a comfortable 21-3 win over Wales at Donnybrook. Centre Sene Naoupu and lock Sophie Spence went over in the first half with Ireland heading into the break 15-3 ahead. Home captain Niamh Briggs added two more penalties after the restart to bring her total tally to 11 points. France ran out convincing 39-0 winners at Bourg en Bresse to gain a measure of revenge for last year's defeat to Italy, which denied them a Grand Slam. Julie Billes, Audrey Forlani and Gaelle Mignot ran in first-half tries beforeĀ a penalty try, followed by Forlani's second and a final score from Elodie Poublan rounded out the victory.
