Bristol to play Tigers at the Memorial Ground
May 8, 2000

Bristol will play their rearranged Premiership clash against leaders Leicester next Sunday at the Memorial Stadium after all.

The game had been switched to nearby Ashton Gate, home of Bristol City, to avoid a potential clash with Bristol Rovers' promotion play-off match.

But Rovers' 1-0 defeat against Cardiff City saw them squeezed out of the play off positions, leaving the Memorial Stadium available.

If Leicester win in the West Country, then they will clinch the Premiership crown for a second successive season.

But should they lose, then the title will be decided in a winner-takes-all showdown with Bath at Leicester on May 21.
