Samoan Fuga to join Quins as Wood back-up

The hooker NEC Harlequins are expected to formally announce the capture of this week is Manu Samoan international Taniela Fuga.

The London team have been in the market for back-up in the position for Keith Wood who is not expected to play every game for Quins this season as he vies for inclusion in next summer's Lions tour to Australia and meets his other international commitments.

Fuga, is 27-year-old who did not play in last year's World Cup but was involved in the Epson Cup, currently plays his rugby at North Harbour, who are currently involved in the NPC championship this season.

The signing will bring to an end to Harlequins' squad building which has seen no fewer than 20 players join the club in the off-season.
