Rosslyn Park gears up for Floodlit Sevens

On Wednesday evening London will have a chance to watch its' leading rugby talent competing at the world famous Rosslyn Park Floodlight Sevens Tournament. The capital's top rugby clubs will be attempting to beat last year's winners Oxford University in a unique floodlit atmosphere.

Spectators will watch premiership clubs such as Harlequins, Saracens and London Irish taking on the best that the national leagues and Oxbridge universities can offer. As well as the city's Exile sides, the hugely successful Samurai International side - ably supported by a Fijian contingent, will also be competing for honours.

This year's tournament kicks off at 5pm when the hosts renew national league rivalry with Esher. Thirteen matches will follow before the Final kicks off at 10.15pm. Recently selected British Lion, Dan Luger of Saracens, will present the winning squad with their trophy.

"The tournament is getting bigger and more popular every year. The quality of the teams is even better than last year's outstanding field, and as always, we are expecting the ground to be packed to the rafters with fans. I know that everyone is in for a brilliant festival of running rugby", said John Gunner (Chairman, Floodlit 7's)

Spectators can expect a fun, relaxing and action packed evening's entertainment at the home of The Army National Schools Sevens (the world's LARGEST rugby tournament) Tickets are £10 on the gate and there will also be a chance to win some outstanding raffle prizes from the world of rugby.
