Harlequins arrange Shield warm up
May 2, 2001

European Shield finalists will enjoy a traditional back holiday Monday - a trip to the West Country.

However it will be strictly business for the London side who will travel to Launceston to face Cornwall in an effort to keep match fit ahead of their May 210 European final date.

"It is ironic that we have spent much of the season bemoaning the fact that the players are playing too much rugby, and now we are looking for an extra fixture," said Quins team manager Mike Scott.
"Because we did not make the play-offs, we were faced with not having a game for four weeks. Narbonne, meanwhile, will be playing French championship matches leading up to the final."
