Pichot to miss Baabaas tour
Bristol

A hectic summer schedule could mean that Bristol's Argentine scrum-half Augustin Pichot will miss out on the Barbarians three match tour at the end of this month.

The former Richmond half back, who last represented the invitation side when the Baabaas played in Britain against South Africa in Cardiff last autumn, has been asked to captain the Argenitians in Pan American trophy.

Pichot, who will also join the Argentine side on their tour to New Zealand and Fiji, could be required to play against Uruguay, the USA and Canada on May 19, 23 and 26.

The Baabaas are due to play Wales on May 10, Scotland on May 24 and England on May 27.

However Pichot, who has never played for Argentina in the Pan American trophy because of injury, said his club are happy with the commitments he has made and that he would have to see how things go.

Bristol, know known as the Shoguns thanks to a sponsorship deal with a well known car manufacturer, have ended their season after failing to finish in the top eight of the Zurich Premiership and win a play-off place.
