Premiership new boys sign two
June 4, 2001

Leeds Tykes have signed two players as they continue building for next year's Zurich Premiership campaign.

Scottish international back row Carl Hogg and Yorkshire-born winger Dan Scarborough have joined the Headingley outfit.

Hogg, 31, joined the club on loan from Edinburgh Reivers last season and made eight appearances as their push for promotion to the top flight of English rugby proved successful.

Scarborough, 23, was born in Bradford but has played for Wakefield for the last two seasons and was part of the successful National Divisions team which defeated South Africa in November.

Tykes director of rugby Phil Davies said: ``We are delighted both players have signed for us.

``Dan is a very exciting prospect and Carl has shown he has all the attributes to play in the Zurich Premiership.''
