Dallaglio focused on task ahead
June 18, 2001

On the eve of his debut for the 2001 Lions Lawrence Dallaglio is totally focused on the challenge in hand.

Dallaglio will line up as a blindside flanker for the clash with Australia 'A' in Gosford and is refusing to look as far ahead as the forthcoming Test series.

He told the Daily Mail, "The only thing I am interested in is my performance. So far the competition has been pretty intense right across the board."

Of the continuing battle for Test starting places, coach graham Henry commented, "Lawrence knows there is real competition for every place. There are going to be some disappointed players."
