Shoguns show strength in tour game

Bristol Shoguns won the second match on their three-match pre-season tour to Argentina with a 50-26 victory over a La Plata Invitation XV.

The visitors led 19-17 at the interval through tries from lock Ben Sturnham, flanker Jim Brownrigg and wing Alex Cadwallader, with former Queensland Reds fly-half Shane Drahm adding two conversions.

The home side battled back to lead after the break points but the Shoguns superior fitness saw them through to victory with scrum-half Agustin Pichot scoring two tries with one each from lock Garath Archer and number eight Ross Beattie.
